Technological innovations, from electric mobility to artificial intelligence, are transforming the transport sector. How can these changes create new opportunities for more people?

Across the world, we see new solutions and approaches that are delivering tangible results, improving efficiency, affordability, accessibility and resilience. Transforming Transportation 2027 will focus on how proven innovations in the transport sector can be expanded, adapted and replicated at scale to accelerate real world impact for more people and more economies.

Innovation goes beyond just technology and data-driven policies, it includes new business models, financing mechanisms and operational solutions that can enhance connectivity, strengthen supply chains and improve transport corridors that underpin trade and development, while also improving service delivery. By scaling what works, transport systems can become more efficient, affordable and resilient, while expanding access to jobs, markets and services. Collaboration across public and private stakeholders is critical to enable investment, accelerate deployment and create the conditions for replication across diverse contexts, particularly in developing countries.

Transforming Transportation 2027 will feature a week-long program with the main forum on March 16–17 and side events and partner meetings throughout the remaining days. It will be a dynamic hybrid experience, combining in-person networking and high-level sessions with virtual participation to include our signature global community.
